About
Sustainability on Wheels aims to promote overall community health through increasing access and reducing barriers to the use of bicycles for UNL students, faculty, and staff. The project, which is a collaboration between the Office of Sustainability, the Outdoor Adventures Center, and BikeLNK, received funding through the We Give Blood Drive competition award from Abbott and the Big Ten. Sustainability on Wheels offers free group rides and bike safety trainings, ranging from introductory learn-to-ride clinics to bike commuter classes covering traffic safety and road rules. Bicycles are provided for use during bike rides and trainings, and all participants earn a free bicycle helmet for their participation and to promote ongoing safe riding.
